Large-Format Component Sound for Compatible Ford Vehicles
The Focal IS FORD 690 combines large 150 x 230mm Polyglass woofers with separate aluminium inverted-dome tweeters. The increased cone area improves mid-bass impact, efficiency and soundstage definition in selected Ford factory locations.
Ford Factory Audio Compatibility
Compatible with limited models equipped with factory B&O audio system. Generally compatible on non-amplified factory audio systems only. Please refer to the Compatibility Guide or contact your nearest Authorised Focal Australia Dealer to confirm compatibility.
Limited B&O applications may support the speakers only where specifically listed. Newer Ford vehicles can use different 6×9 mounting structures, amplifier processing and speaker loads.
2-Way Component Speaker Design
The IS FORD 690 installs its woofer and tweeter in separate compatible factory locations. The woofer reproduces midrange and upper-bass information, while the separate tweeter handles high-frequency detail. This arrangement improves soundstage height, width and vocal placement.
Large 150 x 230mm Polyglass Woofers
The 6×9-inch-style woofers move more air than many round factory speakers, adding stronger mid-bass and musical impact. Polyglass technology keeps the large cone controlled and detailed.
Separate Aluminium Inverted-Dome Tweeters
The separate aluminium tweeters improve treble clarity and use compatible upper positions to raise and widen the front soundstage.
Sound Performance and Bass Response
The published response extends to approximately 60Hz, producing strong mid-bass punch. A dedicated subwoofer remains appropriate for deeper bass.

Build a Complete Focal Inside Audio System
The IS FORD 690 can be combined with IC FORD 165 or IC FORD 690 rear speakers, a suitable subwoofer and an Impulse amplifier in a confirmed non-amplified system.
Preserve the Original Interior
Once installed in a confirmed application, the IS FORD 690 remains concealed behind compatible original Ford trim and factory grilles. The dashboard, doors and factory controls retain their original appearance, and the installation can remain substantially reversible when original wiring and trim are preserved.
