The Tesla Model Y Juniper Premium Audio upgrade is a comprehensive Focal Inside speaker solution designed for compatible Juniper Tesla Model Y vehicles fitted with the factory Premium Audio system.
The package upgrades the principal front and rear speaker locations, including the dashboard centre channel, front dashboard speakers, compatible pillar tweeters, lower front-door woofers, rear-door speakers and rear tailgate speakers.
The original Tesla touchscreen, factory amplifier, audio processing and integrated vehicle functions are retained. The Focal speakers are installed behind the vehicle’s original interior panels, preserving the clean and minimalist appearance of the Model Y cabin.
Many newer Tesla variants are not equipped with suitable factory tweeter mounting locations. Where a compatible location is unavailable, the separate tweeters supplied with the IS T3Y 100 kit can be omitted.
The factory connectors used with the IW T3Y 200 lower front-door woofers are reversed compared with the standard Focal connection. Professional connector modification and adaptation are therefore required.
This package does not replace the smaller factory mid-woofers positioned higher in the doors or the factory rear quarter-panel subwoofer. Focal does not currently offer direct replacement products for these locations.
Pack Description
Improve the factory Premium Audio system in your Tesla Model Y Juniper with a carefully matched combination of vehicle-specific Focal Inside speakers.
The Model Y Premium Audio system provides integrated amplification, digital audio processing and multiple speaker locations throughout the cabin. However, its overall sound quality is still influenced by the construction and acoustic capability of the original loudspeakers.
This package replaces the principal compatible factory speakers with Focal Inside models featuring Focal Flax cones, aluminium inverted-dome tweeters and compact neodymium motors.
At the front of the vehicle, the ICC T3Y 100 centre-channel speaker improves vocal positioning and sound-stage stability. The IS T3Y 100 component system upgrades the dashboard speakers and compatible pillar tweeter locations, delivering greater clarity, musical detail and sound dispersion.
The IW T3Y 200 woofers replace the lower front-door speakers, providing stronger and more controlled mid-bass. Connector adaptation is required because the corresponding Tesla plugs use a reversed arrangement.
Two IC T3Y 100 coaxial kits upgrade the rear doors and rear tailgate. These speakers improve rear-seat listening quality and create more consistent sound distribution throughout the larger Model Y cabin.
The smaller factory mid-woofers positioned higher in the doors remain in place, as Focal does not currently offer a compatible direct replacement in the required size.
The factory rear quarter-panel subwoofer also remains in place unless a custom bass solution is separately designed and installed by an Authorised Focal Australia Dealer.

The Flax speakers upgrade the front dashboard locations. Where compatible factory tweeter mounting positions are available, the separate tweeters can be installed into the corresponding pillar or dashboard locations.

The electrical connectors used with the lower front-door woofers in the Tesla Model Y Juniper are reversed compared with the standard IW T3Y 200 connection.
The connectors must therefore be professionally modified or adapted during installation.
Correct connection and polarity are essential. An incorrect connection may result in:

The Tesla Model Y Juniper Premium Audio system includes smaller factory mid-woofers positioned higher in the doors.
These speakers use a non-standard size and mounting arrangement. Focal does not currently offer a direct replacement product for these locations.
The original mid-woofers therefore remain installed and operational as part of the factory audio system.
This package should not be described as replacing every speaker in the vehicle. It upgrades the compatible centre, dashboard, lower front-door, rear-door and tailgate locations while retaining these smaller factory speakers.
A suitable future Focal replacement may become available if the Focal Inside range is expanded. Until then, attempting to fit an incorrectly sized speaker is not recommended.
Dashboard and Pillar Tweeter Compatibility
Many newer Tesla models are not equipped with suitable factory mounting positions for the separate tweeters supplied with the IS T3Y 100 kit.
Where no compatible factory location is available, the recommended approach is to omit the separate tweeters and install the compatible Flax dashboard speakers.
This avoids:
- Cutting visible interior trim
- Adding external tweeter pods
- Creating unnecessary permanent modifications
- Compromising the original appearance of the cabin
- Installing tweeters in unsuitable acoustic positions

Factory Rear Subwoofer Options
Focal does not currently offer a direct replacement for the factory rear quarter-panel subwoofer fitted to the Tesla Model Y Juniper Premium Audio system.
The original factory subwoofer can remain connected and operational alongside the upgraded Focal speakers.
For owners wanting greater deep-bass performance, an Authorised Focal Australia Dealer may be able to create a custom bass solution. Depending on the vehicle and available space, this could include:
