The Focal IS TOY 170 combines large-format Polyglass woofers with separate aluminium inverted-dome tweeters. It improves vocals, controlled mid-bass and front soundstage definition in selected Toyota factory locations. The product was developed around compatible Camry XV70 locations and is also listed for selected later Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
Toyota Factory Audio Compatibility

Premium Toyota and Lexus systems may use a separate amplifier, JBL, Mark Levinson or another branded audio package with active filtering and different speaker impedances. The IS TOY 170 is intended for compatible non-amplified systems only.
2-Way Component Speaker Design
The IS TOY 170 installs its woofer and tweeter in separate compatible factory locations. The woofer reproduces midrange and upper-bass information, while the separate tweeter handles high-frequency detail. This arrangement improves soundstage height, width and vocal placement.
Large-Format Toyota-Specific Polyglass Woofers
The large Polyglass woofers provide greater cone area, efficiency and mid-bass impact than many smaller factory speakers. Glass microbeads improve cone rigidity while the cellulose base retains damping.
Separate Aluminium Inverted-Dome Tweeters
The separate aluminium tweeters provide detailed, widely dispersed high frequencies. Compatible dashboard, pillar or upper-door positions help raise the soundstage and improve vocal placement.
Sound Performance and Bass Response
The published response extends to approximately 55Hz. The kit provides stronger and more controlled mid-bass rather than deep sub-bass, and a dedicated subwoofer remains appropriate for the lowest frequencies.

Build a Complete Focal Inside Audio System
A complete system may combine IS TOY 170 front speakers, IC TOY 165 rear speakers, a suitable subwoofer and an Impulse amplifier where the correct Toyota harness and non-amplified system are confirmed.
Preserve the Original Interior
Once installed in a confirmed application, the IS TOY 170 remains concealed behind compatible original Toyota trim and factory grilles. The dashboard, doors and factory controls retain their original appearance, and the installation can remain substantially reversible when original wiring and trim are preserved.
