Connect the Focal Impulse 4.320 to a Compatible Ford Factory Head Unit
The Focal IW FORD Y-ISO Harness routes compatible speaker-level signals from selected Ford factory head units through the Focal Impulse 4.320 while retaining the original infotainment system.
Ford Factory Audio Compatibility
Not compatible with factory B&O or other factory amplified Ford audio systems. Designed for compatible non-amplified factory audio systems only. Please refer to the Compatibility Guide or contact your nearest Authorised Focal Australia Dealer to confirm compatibility.
The standard Y-ISO and Impulse installation is for compatible non-amplified systems only. B&O and other factory-amplified systems are not supported. Selected later applications may also require IW SPK SIM.
Designed for the Focal Impulse 4.320 Amplifier
The harness provides the vehicle-side connection for the Impulse 4.320. A complete installation also requires extension and output harnesses, fused power wiring, ground and compatible speakers.
One-Metre Ford ISO Harness Cable
The IW FORD Y-ISO Harness is supplied as a one-metre cable for selected compatible factory head-unit connections.
ISO Connections Without Soldering
Dedicated Ford and ISO connectors provide a clean connection without individually soldering compatible audio wiring.
Select the Harness by Ford Generation and Head Unit
Current compatibility data assigns the original harness to selected later Ford vehicles. Other models or years require V2, universal Fakra or further connector checking.
Original, V2 and Universal Fakra Ford Connections
The original and V2 harnesses are not interchangeable. Some earlier vehicles use the IW BMW Y-ISO universal Fakra harness, while some later vehicles require IW SPK SIM with the original harness.
Retain the Original Factory Head Unit
The compatible original radio remains installed, preserving steering-wheel controls, cameras, navigation and vehicle settings. Aftermarket radios normally use conventional amplifier wiring.

The Harness Does Not Power the Amplifier
The Y-ISO Harness does not power the amplifier. A correctly sized and fused battery supply and secure ground are required.
Factory Equalisation and Processing May Remain
Factory equalisation and bass limiting remain in the source signal. The harness does not provide digital signal correction.
Professional Installation Recommended
Professional installation is recommended to verify the connector, non-amplified system, IW SPK SIM requirement, power wiring and amplifier settings.
