The Tesla Model 3 Premium Audio upgrade is a comprehensive Focal Inside speaker solution designed for compatible 2018–2023 Tesla Model 3 vehicles fitted with the factory Premium Audio system.
The package upgrades the principal front and rear speaker locations, including the dashboard centre channel, front dashboard speakers, door-pillar tweeters, front-door woofers, rear-door speakers and rear parcel-shelf speakers.
The original Tesla touchscreen, factory amplifier, audio processing and integrated vehicle functions are retained. The Focal speakers are installed behind the original interior panels, maintaining the clean and minimalist appearance of the Model 3 cabin.
Focal does not currently offer a direct replacement for the factory rear quarter-panel subwoofer. The original subwoofer can remain operational, or an Authorised Focal Australia Dealer may be able to modify the factory enclosure and install a suitable Focal Flax Evo subwoofer.
Any factory-enclosure modification is a custom installation. Suitability, cost and availability will depend on the vehicle, enclosure design and the capabilities of the individual installer.
Pack Description
Improve the factory Premium Audio system in your Tesla Model 3 with a carefully matched combination of vehicle-specific Focal Inside speakers.
Tesla’s Premium Audio system provides integrated amplification, digital processing and multiple speakers throughout the cabin. However, its overall performance is still influenced by the construction and acoustic capabilities of the original speakers.
This package replaces the primary factory speakers with Focal Inside models featuring Focal Flax cones, aluminium inverted-dome tweeters and compact neodymium motors.
At the front of the vehicle, the ICC T3Y 100 centre-channel speaker improves vocal positioning and sound-stage stability. The IS T3Y 100 component system upgrades the dashboard speakers and compatible pillar-mounted tweeter locations, delivering greater detail and improved sound dispersion.
The IW T3Y 200 woofers replace the original lower front-door speakers, providing stronger and better-controlled mid-bass.
Two IC T3Y 100 coaxial kits upgrade the rear doors and rear parcel shelf. This improves rear-seat listening quality and creates more consistent sound distribution throughout the cabin.
The result is a clearer, more detailed and better-balanced version of the Tesla Premium Audio system without replacing the factory touchscreen, amplifier or integrated audio controls.
Why Upgrade the Tesla Premium Audio System?
The Tesla Model 3 Premium Audio system offers useful factory integration, amplification and processing, but its overall performance can remain restricted by the quality of the original loudspeakers.
Replacing the factory speakers with Focal Inside components allows the original Tesla electronics to reproduce music through more capable speaker cones, tweeters and motor assemblies.
Focal’s Flax speaker cones provide a natural and well-defined midrange with improved control and dynamics. Vocals sound more realistic, individual instruments become easier to distinguish and music gains greater depth and presence.
The aluminium inverted-dome tweeters improve high-frequency detail and sound dispersion, helping create a wider and more precise front sound stage.
The larger IW T3Y 200 front-door woofers improve mid-bass weight and control, while the additional rear parcel-shelf speakers help create a more spacious and immersive cabin presentation.
Because the Tesla touchscreen, amplifier and factory processing remain in place, all original vehicle functionality and audio controls are retained.

ICC T3Y 100 Front Centre Channel
The ICC T3Y 100 is a vehicle-specific centre-channel speaker designed for compatible Tesla Model 3 and Model Y applications.
Installed in the centre of the dashboard, it helps improve:

The Flax speakers upgrade the front dashboard locations, while the tweeters are fitted into compatible door-pillar or dashboard tweeter positions.
This component system improves:

Some Tesla Model 3 variants are not equipped with suitable factory mounting locations for the dashboard or pillar tweeters.

Any adaptation should maintain a clean appearance and provide the correct tweeter positioning, mounting security and acoustic orientation.
IW T3Y 200 Front-Door Woofers
The IW T3Y 200 kit includes two 200mm Focal Flax woofers developed for the lower front-door locations.
These larger woofers improve:

The original factory subwoofer can remain connected and operational alongside the upgraded Focal speakers.
For owners wanting improved deep-bass performance, some Authorised Focal Australia Dealers may be able to modify the original enclosure and install a suitable Focal Flax Evo subwoofer in the factory location.
This approach may offer several advantages:
- Retention of the original subwoofer location
- No large enclosure occupying the boot
- A clean and concealed installation
- Improved bass definition and depth
- Better integration with the upgraded Flax speakers

However, this is a custom installation rather than a standard Focal Inside replacement.
