The Focal ICC BMW 100 is a vehicle-specific coaxial centre-channel speaker designed to replace the original centre speaker in selected BMW-family audio systems.
It combines a 100mm Black Polyglass woofer with an integrated aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter. The speaker can improve dialogue, vocal focus, dashboard-level detail and front soundstage continuity when used in a compatible factory centre-channel position.
BMW Factory Audio Compatibility
Compatible with selected BMW vehicles equipped with Standard Audio, Hi-Fi, Top Hi-Fi or Harman Kardon systems where specifically listed. Compatibility varies by model, production year, market, speaker position and factory audio configuration. BMW, MINI and related vehicles can use different factory amplifiers, speaker impedances, connectors, equalisation and channel processing. Physical fitment does not automatically confirm electrical or acoustic compatibility with every factory audio system.

Designed Only for Compatible Factory Centre-Channel Locations
The ICC BMW 100 is intended for vehicles already equipped with a compatible centre-channel speaker and the correct factory signal.
It does not create a centre channel in a vehicle that lacks the required speaker location, wiring or processed centre-channel output. The presence of a dashboard grille alone does not confirm compatibility.
Coaxial Centre-Channel Speaker Design
The woofer and tweeter share the same compact chassis. The Polyglass cone reproduces midrange and upper-bass information, while the integrated inverted-dome tweeter handles high-frequency detail.
This arrangement supports a broad, coherent output from the centre of the dashboard without requiring a separate tweeter mount.
100mm Black Polyglass Cone
Focal’s Black Polyglass cone technology combines a cellulose pulp base with fine glass microbeads. The construction balances damping and rigidity to improve midrange definition and control resonance.
The 100mm measurement refers to the woofer. The integrated high-frequency driver is an aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter.
Integrated Aluminium/Magnesium Inverted-Dome Tweeter
The integrated tweeter provides broad high-frequency dispersion from the centre of the dashboard. Aluminium contributes rigidity while magnesium adds damping.
Dialogue, vocals, cymbals and fine detail become easier to distinguish while remaining integrated with the left and right front speakers.
Centre-Channel Balance Depends on Factory Processing
A centre channel can improve front imaging when its level, equalisation and frequency range are correctly matched to the rest of the system.
Factory amplifiers may apply channel-specific processing. Replacing the centre speaker cannot correct an unsuitable source signal, excessive centre-channel level or incompatible factory crossover.

The 89.5dB figure is sensitivity, not maximum SPL. The 116.5mm dimension is the approximate overall chassis diameter rather than a universal cut-out measurement.
4-Ohm Design for Compatible Factory Centre Channels
The ICC BMW 100 has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The factory amplifier or aftermarket channel must be suitable for this load and for the speaker’s 40W RMS power rating.
Do not substitute the ICC BMW 100 where the original centre-channel impedance or signal type is different.
Vehicle-Specific Plug & Play Integration
The ICC BMW 100 uses dedicated vehicle connections and mounting provisions for selected compatible factory locations. In confirmed applications, compatible original speaker wiring can remain intact.
Plug & Play describes the dedicated connections and mounting geometry used in supported applications. It does not mean universal fitment or guarantee that every installation can be completed without careful trim removal, sealing, replacement clips or minor adjustment.

The ICC BMW 100 is listed for selected centre-channel locations in BMW and Alpina BMW vehicles, selected MINI and Rolls-Royce models, and selected Toyota Supra applications.
Each vehicle and dashboard position must be confirmed independently. Compatibility with door speakers or under-seat woofers does not confirm centre-channel compatibility.
Pair with Matching Front and Under-Seat Speakers
The ICC BMW 100 can form part of a complete Focal Inside system with compatible IS BMW front component speakers, IC BMW rear speakers and correctly matched BMW under-seat woofers.
The centre channel should support the front soundstage rather than dominate it. System tuning may be required where an aftermarket amplifier or DSP is used.
Retain the Original BMW Interior
In a confirmed application, the ICC BMW 100 remains concealed behind compatible original trim and factory speaker grilles. The dashboard, doors, seating area and vehicle controls retain their original appearance.
The installation can remain substantially reversible when the original wiring, connectors, mounting points and surrounding trim are preserved.
