The Focal ICC MBZ 100 is a vehicle-specific centre-channel speaker designed for selected Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with a compatible factory dashboard centre speaker.
Its 100mm Flax cone improves dialogue, vocal focus and midrange presence while helping raise the soundstage towards the centre of the dashboard.
The ICC MBZ 100 is supplied as a single centre speaker. It should only be installed where the vehicle already provides the correct centre-channel location, wiring and processed signal.
Mercedes-Benz Centre-Channel and eCall Compatibility
Compatible only with selected Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with a supported factory centre-channel speaker, dual centre-channel connections and the correct original signal. The dual 4-ohm voice coils and connectors are designed to retain Mercedes-Benz eCall emergency functionality in compatible applications. The presence of a dashboard grille alone does not confirm compatibility. Some vehicles may use a different speaker, connector, impedance or emergency-call arrangement.

100mm Flax Centre-Channel Driver
The ICC MBZ 100 uses a 100mm Flax sandwich-cone midrange driver. Natural flax fibres positioned between thin glass-fibre layers balance low mass, rigidity and damping.
This supports natural vocal reproduction and clear midrange detail from the centre of the dashboard.
Dual Voice Coils and Dual Vehicle Connectors
The speaker uses dual voice coils and dual vehicle connections. This arrangement is designed to maintain the audio and emergency-call paths used by compatible Mercedes-Benz systems.
Each voice coil has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The dual-coil speaker should not be wired as a generic single-coil centre channel or substituted into an incompatible system.
eCall Emergency Functionality
The ICC MBZ 100 is designed to retain Mercedes-Benz eCall emergency functionality in confirmed applications.
Correct connection of both factory circuits is essential. The emergency-call system should be checked after installation in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s procedures.
Centre-Channel Balance Depends on Factory Processing
The centre channel can improve vocal focus and front-stage continuity when its level, equalisation and frequency range are correctly matched to the left and right speakers.
Replacing the speaker does not remove factory channel processing. An unsuitable source signal or excessive centre-channel level cannot be corrected by the speaker alone.

A compact neodymium motor supports useful output within the limited dashboard depth. The moulded aluminium structure provides rigidity and helps maintain accurate driver alignment.
The compact construction allows the speaker to remain concealed beneath compatible original dashboard trim.
Factory Audio Compatibility
The ICC MBZ 100 may be listed in selected Standard, Advanced and Burmester systems where the vehicle uses the correct dual-coil centre-channel configuration.
Compatibility as a centre speaker does not automatically approve the vehicle for an aftermarket amplifier. Factory-amplified and premium systems require a separate integration assessment.

The ICC MBZ 100 can form part of a complete Focal Inside system with compatible IS MBZ front and rear speakers, ICR MBZ 100 surround speakers and the correct ISUB MBZ right-hand-drive subwoofer pair.
The centre channel should support the front soundstage rather than dominate it. Correct factory processing or system tuning is essential for balanced output.
