The Focal IS TOY 165 TWU combines 165mm Black Polyglass woofers with separate TWU1.5 aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeters. Its flexible tweeter mounting suits selected vehicles without the dedicated tweeter housing used by the standard IS TOY 165.
Toyota Factory Audio Compatibility

2-Way Component Speaker Design
The IS TOY 165 TWU installs its woofer and tweeter in separate compatible factory locations. The woofer reproduces midrange and upper-bass information, while the separate tweeter handles high-frequency detail. This arrangement improves soundstage height, width and vocal placement.
165mm Black Polyglass Woofers
The vehicle-specific 165mm Polyglass woofers improve midrange and controlled mid-bass while retaining selected original door locations and compatible wiring.
TWU1.5 Aluminium/Magnesium Tweeters with Flexible Mounting
The TWU1.5 tweeters support compatible factory-location, flush, surface or angled installation. This is useful where the original vehicle lacks a suitable tweeter pod. The mounting method should balance sound quality, visibility and trim preservation.
Sound Performance and Bass Response
The woofers extend to approximately 60Hz and provide useful mid-bass, while the separate tweeters improve soundstage height and width. A subwoofer remains appropriate for deeper bass.

Preserve the Original Interior
The woofers remain concealed behind compatible trim. Tweeters can remain hidden in a factory position, while surface or angled mounting may be visible. Any permanent trim change should be agreed before installation.
