The Focal ISUB BMW 2 is a vehicle-specific 200mm under-seat subwoofer designed to improve low-frequency impact, definition and control in selected BMW-family audio systems using an approved 2-ohm amplification configuration.
Its Black Polyglass cone, neodymium motor and integrated vehicle spacer support a discreet upgrade within compatible original under-seat locations.

BMW under-seat woofers are available in different impedances. Physical fitment does not confirm that the 2-ohm ISUB BMW 2 is electrically suitable for the original amplifier.

Designed for Compatible 2-Ohm Amplified Systems
The ISUB BMW 2 is intended for selected systems where a 2-ohm under-seat woofer is specified. Focal identifies it for powered upgrade configurations including compatible FIT 9.660 amplifier/DSP installations.
It should not be connected to an amplifier that is not stable at the required load, and it should not replace a factory 4-ohm or 8-ohm woofer solely because the chassis appears to fit.
200mm Black Polyglass Subwoofer Cone
The 200mm Black Polyglass cone combines the damping characteristics of a cellulose-based cone with additional rigidity from fine glass microbeads.
This supports controlled bass transients and helps bass notes sound more defined rather than loose or boomy.
Neodymium Motor and Long-Excursion Performance
The compact neodymium motor provides strong magnetic control within the restricted under-seat location. A published 6.5mm Xmax supports useful cone movement for improved low-frequency output.
Actual bass performance depends on available amplifier power, factory signal processing, enclosure behaviour, installation quality and system tuning.

The 83dB figure is the published system sensitivity and should not be labelled as maximum SPL. The 217mm dimension describes the overall chassis diameter rather than a universal cut-out size.
Difference Between ISUB BMW 2 and ISUB BMW 4
The ISUB BMW 2 has a 2-ohm nominal impedance and is intended for compatible 2-ohm amplified upgrade systems.
The ISUB BMW 4 has a 4-ohm nominal impedance and is intended for selected original or aftermarket systems requiring a 4-ohm under-seat woofer. The versions are not interchangeable.

The ISUB BMW 2 is supplied as an individual subwoofer. Many BMW systems use separate left and right under-seat woofers, but the required quantity must be confirmed for the vehicle and proposed system.
Replacing both sides can provide a more balanced result when the vehicle uses a matched pair, but the complete system design should be confirmed before ordering.

System Tuning and Crossover Requirements
The subwoofer must receive an appropriate low-frequency signal. Amplifier gain, crossover frequency, polarity and level should be set to integrate with the door and centre speakers.
Incorrect settings can produce weak bass, excessive overlap, distortion or an unbalanced soundstage.
Retain the Original Under-Seat Location
In a confirmed application, the ISUB BMW 2 remains concealed beneath the original seat area and uses the compatible factory enclosure and trim.
