Connect the Focal Impulse 4.320 to a Compatible Ford Factory Head Unit
The Focal IW FORD Y-ISO Harness V2 routes compatible speaker-level signals from selected Ford and Mazda factory head units through the Focal Impulse 4.320 while retaining the original infotainment system.
Ford Factory Audio Compatibility
Not compatible with factory B&O or other factory amplified Ford audio systems. Designed for compatible non-amplified factory audio systems only. Please refer to the Compatibility Guide or contact your nearest Authorised Focal Australia Dealer to confirm compatibility.
B&O and other factory-amplified systems use a different signal path and are not compatible with the standard V2 Y-ISO and Impulse installation. Speaker compatibility with limited B&O models does not make the harness compatible.
Designed for the Focal Impulse 4.320 Amplifier
The harness provides the vehicle-side connection for the Impulse 4.320. The amplifier, extension cable, output harness, fused power wiring, ground and speakers are separate unless included in a pack.
One-Metre Ford V2 ISO Harness Cable
The official V2 harness is supplied as a one-metre ISO cable.
ISO Connections Without Soldering
Vehicle-specific and ISO connectors support integration without individually cutting or soldering compatible speaker wires. The amplifier still requires correct power and grounding.
Select the V2 Harness by the Actual Factory Connector
The V2 harness is listed for selected Ford and Mazda models, including many earlier Ranger, Everest, Mondeo, Mustang and Kuga applications. Production changes can introduce another connector within the same model family.
Original and V2 Ford Harnesses Are Not Interchangeable
The original and V2 Ford Y-ISO harnesses support different connections. Some earlier vehicles instead use the IW BMW Y-ISO universal Fakra harness.
Retain the Original Factory Head Unit
The compatible original radio remains installed, preserving steering-wheel controls, cameras, navigation and vehicle settings. Aftermarket radios normally require conventional amplifier wiring.

The Harness Does Not Power the Amplifier
The harness carries audio and speaker connections only. A separate fused power feed and secure ground are required.
Factory Equalisation and Processing May Remain
Factory equalisation, bass limiting and volume-dependent processing remain in the signal. Advanced correction may require a DSP.
Professional Installation Recommended
Professional installation is recommended to identify the correct connector, verify the non-amplified system, install fused power and configure the amplifier.
